Baby and Toddler Group
Our Baby and Toddler group meets on Tuesday mornings and is open to all children of pre-school age and those who care for them. For more information, please visit our Baby and Toddler Group page.
Mid-week groups
During the week we meet in small groups for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. These are held in the homes of some of our church family and take place both in the daytime and the evening, so there’s a convenient time for everyone.
Recently our groups have been studying through the book of Micah, to find out what these lesser-known prophecies said to the people in Micah’s time, and what they have to say to us in 2026. The groups are now taking a break for the summer holiday and in September we’ll be looking at Paul’s letter to the Galatians, and the warnings it contains not to be tempted away from God’s true Gospel.

Monthly prayer meeting
Once a month, instead of joining their individual groups, everyone unites on a Wednesday evening for a prayer meeting. Each month we pray for a different Christian organisation, such as a church or a charity. Usually a representative joins us from that month’s prayer focus, to share information and prayer requests. Occasionally we might have an extra prayer focus such as upcoming events we’re putting on at Hope Church, or something that’s happening locally.
Visits to Eothen Care Home and Cedar Grove Day Centre
Every week a small team from our church family spends an hour visiting the residents of a local care home. We gather in a communal area of the home, with any residents who choose to join us, for traditional hymns and prayers and a few words from one of the team about a favourite hymn or part of the Bible, followed by tea and chat.
Since autumn 2025 members of the same team have also been invited to visit a day centre in Wallsend once per fortnight for a similar type of session.
Please pray for those involved as they seek to share the love of Christ with the people they meet in those places.

Our Youth Events for ages 10+ are held twice a month on Friday evenings.

A Book, a Cake and a Cuppa
A Book, a Cake and a Cuppa is our monthly book group, where members of our church family get together on a Friday night to chat about a Christian book over tea/coffee and cake. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t finish the book (or even manage to start it! – we know people lead busy lives), everyone is welcome to come along for fellowship and refreshments. Information on dates and venues is announced at our Sunday services.
